Our endeavours
We are deeply convinced that respecting the environment by preserving local resources and reducing pollutants by using local products, hence reducing transportation, will serve short and long term interests of the population.
P o p u l a t i o n
1 - We create local employment with a view to tourism development. It should benefit bilateral contacts between tourists and local population, as well as foreign currency intake.
2 - We hire local staff from Doany, ankify, Ambalavelo, Ambanja and Nosy Be, within a radius of 25 kms of the hotel. Maintenance, renovation and construction development uses local manpower as well.
3 - We respect local traditions and creeds; no work nor washing up on thursdays (fady), protection of sacred trees, ancestors ceremony. We remain attentive to locals’ wishes and expectations.
E n v i r o n m e n t
4 - We diversify our energy requirement sources keeping the less polluting in mind : gas, higher yield coal stove, rechargeable battery converters. Mid-term, we look into investing in clean solar and wind energies.
5 - We fully master the use of our water reserves, along with a close maintenance of the piping to avoid waste, hence reducing our consumption.
6 - We take part in small infrastructures upkeep around the hotel compound: for instance, the village wells, rainfall drainage for the local road network. We have replanted trees for the replenishement of the adjacent hills.
7 - We plan out new excursions to enhance the local natural assets of the region. Hence, hoping to make the region appeal to new tourism and new resources for the natives to help preserve their environment and diversify their incomes.

8 - We endeavour to pick purveyours so as to benefit mostly the local economy
9 - We use local and renewable commodities and materials, like bamboo, ravinala foliage and twigging, raphia. We keep ourselves updated on the use of local materials for utmost opimization and stay attentive to the hotel’s scenic and environmental blending.
10 - We blend in the region development and its environment preservation. Our global tourism project ties in with the madagascar organisational growth project.
